Welcome to Sungmin Lee's Github

Hello everyone, I'm Sungmin Lee, Senior research developer, department of R&D, Purple.AI Inc., Republic of Korea.
Currently I am working on detection of brain hemorrhage, infarct, and aneurysm as a Medical vision Senior research developer.
My main role of the team is gathering, processing, structuring, and validating the given diseases with computer vision techniques for NCCT and CTA Volumes.
Furthermore, I am working with medical volume 3D graphics with direct volume rendering and surface rendering for our framework results.

My first industrial experience was Radisen korea Co. Ltd. Seoul, Republic of Korea. I joined Radisen since 3rd June, 2024, and I was working with computerized clinical decision support system project in Radisen Korea AI team as a AI engineer and also researcher.

About the academia life, I entered department of software, Gachon university at March 2016.
After the military duty, I experienced the short-term internship program to AI related company, called AiThe. After the short-term internship I start to join one of labs in our department to study more about AI.
I studied under assistant Prof. Younhyun Jung, visualization of mixed reality (vom) lab, from 2020 to Feb, 2024.
I worked and studied about visualization with various modalities of medical images and develop medical deep learning algorithms to enhance the user aspect view in medicine through computer graphics.
However, unlike the my tutors plan, mainly i used to do research on medical image (especially for computed tomography and x-ray) segmentation via deep neural network. My research area is the integration of deep learning and visualization in medicine and the enhancement of medical image automatic analysis through computerized manner.
