About My Work

I build open-source AI/ML tools focused on the low-resource and underrepresented languages of Northeast India.
My work includes:

• Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR)
• Text-to-Speech (TTS)
• Translation models
• Tokenizers
• High-quality multilingual datasets

These tools are designed for languages such as Meitei, Tangkhul, Rongmei, Poumai, Ao, and other tribal communities across the Northeast.

Why This Matters

Most languages from the Northeast have very limited or no digital presence.
Without AI support, these languages risk being left out of the modern technological ecosystem.

By developing ASR, TTS, and multilingual datasets openly, my goal is to:

• Preserve cultural identity
• Enable access to modern AI tools
• Empower researchers and communities
• Build the first open AI ecosystem for Northeast Indian languages
