Webtoon has really become a staple in my life. I read the updates everyday and it’s unhealthy bc I’m practically addicted lol. I love the themes and fun stories on here and it’s always fun clicking through and checking what to read. The app interface makes it to use as well as its easy to navigate. I love how there are weekly updates and many events where people who don’t want to spend money can earn coins! Unlike some other comic apps I know episodes are free and you only have to pay if you want to read ahead. Unlike tapas *carefully throws shade*Anyhow I highly recommend you get this app because you’ll love it as much as I do!

After updating the app to the latest version, error messages popped on all devices asking if I want to de-register my device when i tried clicking into a webtoon chapter to read it. Users are only given 3 chances to de-register and register another in a month. Had been using ipad to read webtoons at home, and iphone on the go. This limitation is a real pain in the behind. Why the sudden change in policy? All daily webtoons have been free so far so it doesnt matter how many devices a user is using the app to read webtoons right? Instead of de-registering, suggest to prompt user to re-log in each time when user use a different device. Or, to include in your app script to detect ACTIVE log-ins on multiple devices at the same time. Because I dont think your change in charging policy should translate to inconvenience to the user. Especially a user who has been using this app when you first launch and only has a single page worth of webtoon range to offer. Beside this sudden inconvenience, and selected top chart completed webtoon suddenly becomes chargeable, LINE webtoon app had been a trusty webtoon reader with very user friendly UI and wide range of webtoons. Hope this inconvenient issue gets a better solution than current one soon. Thanks.

Seeing the recent reviews, all of them have been low and the only reason why webtoon is still rated so high is from the reviews from years ago. The app now makes you watch ads all the time, barely allows free use and the daily pass comics (which was already annoying and unneeded) are now removed and turned into needing to watch ads to unlock any episodes. Furthermore, you need to pay to unlock the finale episodes of most “daily pass” (watching ads to unlock the series) comics. The app does not allow you to listen to music and read simultaneously, the new interface is horrible and not user friendly, and the once free comics that turned into daily pass (already tedious to reread), now need one ad to unlock one chapter. It is simply ridiculous to continue using this app and it can barely be used properly without paying. The downfall is gradual, and it surely was gotten worse in the past year, which is extremely disappointing. Webtoon no longer upholds the value of letting people access comics without paying or pirating. At this rate, pirating websites are better than webtoon. The people running webtoon need to wake up and see that not everyone can pay to see comics, and practically no one likes the new app.

I’m writing a review as this is probably the best way to reach the LINE management. I truest admire the model of webtoon reading that you have set up. However, there are many flaws in the system that line webtoon seems to be completely indifferent.Firstly, there is no reason for Tower of God (Tog) to be as delayed as it is. It used to be released at the same time as the Korean version (albeit with poor translation quality), then 12 hours later, and now a week (?) later. We the community would appreciate a reason why (just a couple of words would suffice) and if it’s possible, please hire more Translators. I’m sure you have the funds to do so. The Chinese version (which has less likes per chapter) is released on time, so why is the English version being held hostage with no viable reason for doing so? Secondly, it would be nice if you looked at view counts rather than likes to determine a writer’s profit. Setting up fast pass for tog, or even allowing writers to set up a Patreon would certainly save you some money as you get to pay them less as the community is directly crowdfunding for the writer. I think a huge restructure and overhaul of the system is required.Thank you.
