We refer to the concatenation of SDH channels of different payload capacities as cross-virtual concatenation (CVC). By employing CVC, we are able to harvest the SDH bandwidth more efficiently. We later show that the gain achieved by employing CVC increases linearly with the VCG bandwidth demand.
